Rigid penile prostheses are less expensive than hydraulic and semi-rigid prostheses; however, they are not as popular and are rarely used in surgery. This is due to the fact that this type of endoprosthesis does not have plastic memory and cannot change the degree of stiffness. As a result, it turns out that a person constantly has an imitation of an erection.
In the case of a semi-rigid wall prosthesis (one-piece), its rigidity is maintained. But the difference between a one-component prosthesis and a rigid prosthesis is that it consists of two semi-rigid cylinders made of silicone fitted with wire and rod. Lipofilling refers to minimally invasive plastic surgery. And it has several advantages over the method described above, but it is aimed more at increasing the thickness rather than the length of the phallus.
Lipofilling involves the introduction of biomaterial (diseased adipose tissue) into the skin of the penis, so liposuction is also needed in addition to this procedure. The use of a patient’s fat cells often rules out the presence of allergic reactions, but can lead to inflammatory processes.

However, even such a seemingly positive operation has a number of complications and contraindications on all sides.
The following complications may occur after lipofilling:
- painful sensations are possible when urinating;
- skin pigmentation sometimes occurs at the site where the biomaterial was injected;
- swelling of the penis and legs;
- rarely, but sometimes, adipose tissue is not evenly distributed throughout the male organ, but there will be lumps under the skin and asymmetrical enlargement of the penis is also possible;
